St Francis Xavier Catholic Primary School is situated close to Doncaster town centre with close links with the A1 and other major motorway routes.

The governors are seeking to appoint a practising and committed Catholic for a non-teaching Head of School for September 2018. This is an amazing opportunity to develop your role as a senior leader and lead and manage a whole school under the direction of an Executive Head.

Key responsibilities:

  • Put children at the heart of everything;
  • Continue to raise the standards of achievement, be responsible for all the day to day management of the children, staff and other adults, resources and building so as to promote and secure the achievement and well-being of all the children and adults;
  • Work with the Executive Head and other leaders to provide an environment in which all staff and children are enabled to achieve success and to build towards achieving their potential;
  • To have regard for the school’s data, teaching and learning, organising events, line management of staff;
  • Share our vision of transforming learning to raise aspirations, secure an enjoyment and love of learning and develop a sense of pride in all that we do;
  • To lead and manage the Religious Education across the school and ensure an outstanding ethos is at the heart of everything;
  • Be an outstanding and enthusiastic classroom practitioner with a proven track record of raising standards;
  • Be an excellent communicator able to work inclusively with pupils, staff, parents, Governors and other stakeholders;
  • Have a proven ability to lead, inspire and motivate others;
  • Be a resilient, organised and able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines;
  • Lead on key whole school areas;
  • Be able to develop effective partnerships in order to drive forward change and shape the future direction of St Francis Xavier School.
