Salary details: Grade 6 £11,965 - £12,866
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual to work within the Facilities Management Team supporting the Council’s Corporate Landlord function.
The post will be permanent and full time (37 hours). There may be a requirement for weekend and evening work and the ability to travel around the borough to meet the needs of the service and customers.
As part of the Council’s Corporate Landlord strategy the successful applicants will work within the team undertaking premises compliance audits. You will work closely with the designated Building Manager to ensure that the portfolio of allocated buildings is maintained in accordance with relevant legislation and the Council’s Health and Safety Management System. Knowledge of legislation affecting the management of buildings is required and you must have experience carrying out safety audits and recommending remedial action.
You should have experience of procuring goods and services, and managing budgets to achieve value for money. Effective communication skills and the ability to identify innovative solutions are essential. You must have excellent customer care and negotiation skills and the ability to diffuse difficult situations.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and resourceful person with the ability to work alone with no supervision and be able to work to tight deadlines whilst prioritising and managing their own workload effectively. You must be able to meet the physical and travel/mobility requirements of the post (with or without reasonable adjustments) and you must be prepared to work flexibly, including weekend and evening work on occasions.
