The governors of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School wish to appoint an experienced, talented and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support the children’s learning. Relevant experience is required as well as a good standard of English, Mathematics and ICT skills. This is a varied role to work alongside children in EYFS. The post would provide an excellent professional development opportunity for anyone thinking of a career in Primary education.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a secure knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
  • Has successful experience of working within an early years setting, including carrying observational assessments of children
  • Has experience of the role of key worker and is able to build friendly relationships with pupils and parents
  • Is able to communicate effectively with staff and parents and is able to support the children’s oracy development
