Doncaster Family Hubs (formerly Children Centres) are designed to bring services together to work with families from conception, through childhood and into adolescence (0 to 18 yrs and 25yrs SEND) Central Locality Family Hub covers Wheatley, Central and Balby areas of Doncaster. The Family Hub team coordinate delivery of an integrated local offer providing a wide range of services to support community and family need, which include Early learning and play sessions; childcare and parenting advice, health and midwifery appointments and sessions; breastfeeding support; adult training and jobcentre vacancies, plus much more.
The role of the Parent Support (Engagement) Worker will be to support the implementation of services for parents/carers within Family Hubs. Work undertaken will include targeting families so they are aware of services, in order to maximise engagement.
Experience of working with children, young people and families, within the community, along with a relevant professional qualification to NVQ 3 or equivalent is essential.
