Reporting to: Head of Estates / Estates Team

Location of this position: Castle Academy / Doncaster Hub

Castle Academy is recruiting a Caretaker to join their team. Castle Academy serves 190 children between the ages of 4 and 11 and aims to provide a welcoming and supportive family atmosphere where self-esteem is nurtured and children are encouraged to offer and express their opinions. 

Reporting the Head of Estates and the Estates Team, the Caretaker will be responsible for the security of the academy premises, general maintenance of the building and also the cleaning of the premises, amongst other tasks. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of buildings and estates, having previously managed buildings/grounds/facilities. They will also have experience of using IT systems, be able to work flexibly, will have experience of managing external contractors on site, will have the ability to prioritise their own workload and will be able to demonstrate high standards and expectations along with a can-do attitude. 

The successful candidate will be capable of working collaboratively with colleagues and will be willing to work flexibly across other schools within the Doncaster hub of Academies.
