We are looking for an enthusiastic and suitably experienced person to join the Governors Support Service which has gained a national reputation for its high quality support to School Governors in Doncaster.

You will need to be customer focused, able to meet strict deadlines and possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.  If you enjoy working in a busy environment and are willing to work flexibly to deliver a high quality service to our School Governors, this job will appeal to you.

You will be part of a team providing support and information to schools and Governors on all aspects of School Governance.  This will include dealing with enquiries over the telephone and email, maintaining accurate records relating to school governance and commitment to maintaining the service’s high standards. The post holder will be expected to work in accordance with the Service’s standards, procedures and timescales. 

Previous experience of working in an office environment is desirable along with experience of using Microsoft Office and database systems. Candidates should also possess effective communication and organisational skills and have the ability to deal with confidential information.  Knowledge of schools/education is desirable. 

The hours to be worked are 3 days per week on a permanent basis (all day Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).
